Objective
- Increase awareness of the South Asian Heart Center and its innovative approach to reducing the high incidence of coronary heart disease among South Asians
- Raise funds for expanding the South Asian Heart Center’s programs and establishing new centers

The Strategy
- Plan and execute the Annual Scarlet Night Gala, a major fundraising event for the South Asian Heart Center
- Develop targeted messaging and communication materials to engage different audiences such as patient population, philanthropists, physicians, business professionals and community leaders, who contributed to the financial support of the organization
- Utilize media outreach and local partnerships to further promote the event, which raised over $750,000 annually

Results
- Attracted over 550 attendees for the Seventh Annual Scarlet Night Gala
- Raised a total of over $1,500,000 in three years, helping fund the establishment of two new centers in South San Jose and Fremont
- The five centers, in collaboration, will be able to serve 1,000 residents per year, increasing to 3,000 the following year
- Screened over 5,200 participants through the South Asian Heart Center’s AIM to Preventâ„¢ program, which has led to sustained behavior changes and increased physical activity
