Kelly Krueger – Principal

Kelly Krueger has more than 15 years of experience working for some of the world’s leading public relations agencies based in London and San Francisco, including Fleishman-Hillard, Weber Shandwick and Publicis Dialog. She has a proven track record of creating and executing fresh and strategic top-notch communication programs for her diverse range of partner clients and has worked closely with industry leaders such as Bayer, Cochlear Americas, The Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, and The Olympic and Paralympic Games, among others. Through her work, she has gained a solid reputation and a strong working relationship with local, regional and national media, securing front-page photos/articles and multiple regional and national TV and radio interviews for her clients.

Prior to entering the world of public relations, she served as a freelance reporter for The Denver Post, covering fashion and design. Kelly currently serves as the vice president for the San Francisco Opera’s BRAVO! Club and is active with a number of other charitable organizations. Originally from Denver, Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a minor in biology from Colorado State University.

Tracy Smith – Media Relations Expert

Based in Los Angeles, Tracy M. Smith spent the first part of her career with Burson-Marsteller, New York and later with Hill & Knowlton in Chicago. Tracy brings over 20 years of public relations and marketing communications experience to her clients.

Tracy has produced internal and external client video programs including training tapes, video news releases, and news b-roll. She has written and produced an independent feature film currently in foreign distribution.

Tracy’s career began in radio in Michigan and Wisconsin where she wrote and produced news segments as well as public affairs programs. She also hosted a morning talk show and anchored the evening news.

Kristen Simoes – Media Relations Expert

Based in Sacramento, California, Kristen Simoes is a freelance producer, writer and media relations specialist. She has appeared on HGTV and the Fine Living Network as well as many local TV programs. As an NBC-station reporter, Kristen earned an Emmy nod, she spent three years co-hosting an ABC affiliate morning show, and she works as a freelance producer providing content for PBS.

On the public relations front, Kristen gained experience as Vice President of Communications for the California Restaurant Association, and editor of two award winning restaurant industry publications. She has conducted numerous Media Training Seminars for restaurants, wineries, and corporations statewide, and regularly works as a media consultant and corporate or web video reporter.

Debbie Rizzo – Lifestyle Public Relations

debbierizzoDebbie Rizzo has with 14 years of experience working on national spirits, wine, food, and lifestyle clients. Debbie specializes in public relations, Mixology Relations™, event planning, brand development and bar/sales development for beverage clients.

A native New Yorker, Debbie spent ten years in Boston working on Samuel Adams Boston Lager, where she managed the launch of Sam Adams Light and the national launch of two of the brewery’s “extreme beers” – Utopias and Millennium.

More recently, she has managed the stateside launch of Bols Genever, the redesigned bottle launch of Plymouth Gin, the New England launch of Peet’s Coffee & Tea, and has worked with numerous other clients, including: Martin Millers, Bluecoat, and Damrak Gins, Trumer Pils beer, Gosling’s Black Seal Rum, Square One Organic Vodka, Chartreuse, La Fee Absinthe, Dale DeGroff and BAR SMARTS (Pernod Ricard), and Modern Mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim. Wine clients include: Mumm Napa, Folio, Guenoc, Brancott, HALL, Chalk Hill, Bagrationi, Perrier Jouet, Palandri and Atlas Peak.

Debbie has spent the past 14 years cultivating strong relationships with key beverage media and the mixologists they look to for inspiration – this is the key ingredient to her success. She is an active member of the U.S. Bartender’s Guild and worked as media and event organizer at industry tastemaking event, Tales of the Cocktail in 2008 and 2009. Whether behind the stick, the copy desk, or the Twitter feed, Debbie is plugged in to a wide and loyal network of beverage enthusiasts that is always open to new ideas and spirited discussion.

Janet Fouts – Social Media Strategist

Janet Fouts co-founded one of the first venture-funded online communities for the restaurant industry in 1996 (ONTHERAIL) and has followed her passion for food, wine and social media ever since.

She is currently the lead social media maven for Thirsty Girl LLC, and consults with a number of restaurants and wineries on social media. She also speaks at conferences nationwide including the 2009 Wine Bloggers Conference and the Wine Summit. Janet has extensive experience training both one-on-one and large audiences about social media strategy and platforms for business.

Victor Thomas – Website Design, SEO

Victor Thomas is a specialist in website design, Internet marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), affiliate marketing, pay per click and social media. He has more than 10 years of experience in sales, business development and marketing.

Victor has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. A formally trained actor and classically trained opera singer, he has appeared in several Off-Broadway productions. Originally from Tiburon, California, Victor has traveled the globe studying with some of the world’s most renowned singing teachers in Manhattan, Germany and Italy.

Ingrid Nielsen – Founder, buZZgen

Ingrid is the founder of buZZgen, a full service online marketing company. Ingrid’s expertise is sought after by both ad agencies and direct clients alike. Her main focus is developing and managing successful strategies for clients ranging from luxury travel to network security devices. Prior to starting her own business, Ingrid was the Director of Media and Analytics at Clear Ink, a digital marketing strategy and services company. There, she was responsible for developing online media & marketing strategies for clients such as Autodesk, Bell Sports, 24-Hour Fitness, John Muir Health, Patelco, Fair Isaac and many more.

Before that, Ingrid joined Be Free (acquired by ValueClick), where she architected and launched one of the first SEM services in the affiliate marketing space. Ingrid is active in the local media community, speaking at events, as a chair for the SEMPO San Francisco Chapter and an occasional writer for DM Review.

Jess Thomas – Video Producer, Director, Editor

Jess has more than 20 years of experience working in broadcast production and editing for companies such as ABC, FOX, and USA Networks.

Throughout his career, Jess has co-wrote, directed and edited a number of documentary and short films that have won numerous awards, including Best American Documentary at the Rome International Film Festival. He has also been honored with official selection at the Santa Fe Film Festival and the Napa Valley Film Festival. He wrote, directed and edited the digital feature length film, Checking the Gate, which was distributed worldwide by Echelon Entertainment in the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, China, Thailand and more.

Jess has a bachelor of fine arts degree from San Francisco State University and has appeared in several U.S. productions including the film, L. A. Confidential.

Jenny Georges – Events

Jenny Georges has over eight years experience in luxury events. Jenny’s ability to quickly identify niches and build strategic alliances has positioned her as a key influencer in facilitating connections with elite non-profits throughout the San Francisco community.

As director of events at Shreve & Co., she worked with closely with luxury brands including Rolex, Patek Philippe, A Lange & Sohne, Parmigiani, Mikimoto, Wellendorff, Baume et Mercier, Longines and Panerai, spearheading media relations and corporate sponsorships. Prior to that, Jenny managed events for the Andre Agassi Foundation, the US Tennis Association, the San Francisco Greek Consulate and San Francisco-based fashion designer, Verrieres & Sako, where she also handled public relations efforts and served as a company model and spokesperson.

A Michigan native, Jenny holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, with a minor in sociology from Eastern Michigan University. She is actively involved with several Bay Area non-profit committees including the Red Cross Bay Area Chapter, the Salvation Army Flower Power committee and the Holy Family Day Home.
