The Objective

Case Study: MatrixCare’s Clinical Advanced Insights Product Launch and 2022 Communications Strategy

Following the significant product launch of Clinical Advanced Insights, the objective was to sustain momentum and promote various story angles inspired by the “Looking Glass” report, enhancing MatrixCare’s thought leadership and industry recognition within skilled nursing facilities (SNF).

The Strategy

The strategic approach encompassed leveraging the success of the Clinical Advanced Insights launch to continue positioning MatrixCare as an industry leader. This involved exploring diverse themes and potential topics derived from the “Looking Glass” report to offer valuable insights and thought leadership within the industry.

Key components of the strategy included:

  • Story Angle Development: Collaborating with Amy Ostrem, VP of Nursing Solutions Strategy, to develop compelling story angles based on the “Looking Glass” report. These angles focused on areas such as using technology to maximize reimbursement and optimize financials, as well as rethinking nutrition management.
  • Media Coverage: Securing media coverage for MatrixCare’s initiatives, such as the 300-word feature on transitioning to ePrescribe for controlled substances in the April print issue of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News. Additionally, evaluating the potential for light media pitching and news postings to support the upcoming release of CareCommunity Connect with enhanced workflows and medication reconciliation.

The Results

The implemented strategy yielded notable results, setting the stage for continued industry recognition and thought leadership:

  • Story Angle Development: Five compelling story angles were developed based on the “Looking Glass” report, showcasing MatrixCare’s expertise and thought leadership in areas such as technology-driven reimbursement optimization and EHR-integrated nutrition management tools.
  • Media Coverage: Secured a 300-word feature on transitioning to ePrescribe for controlled substances in the April print issue of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, enhancing MatrixCare’s visibility and authority in the industry.
  • Upcoming Product Release: The impending release of CareCommunity Connect with enhanced workflows and medication reconciliation created anticipation and offered an opportunity for potential news postings and light media pitching.
